Young philanthropist Alanna Wall is again making headlines! Recently, she starred as the youngest nail tech on the Orly International manicuring team for the Fashion Palette show at Pier 59 Studios.
Wall (pictured second from left) is best known as the founder of the non-profit Polished Girlz, which brings manicures and lots of glitter to young girls who are terminally ill or in the hospital for long stays. Wall started the organization at just 10 years old, has been featured Ellen, and has now had the opportunity to work at several Fashion Weeks to gain greater awareness for her cause.
The Fashion Palette show featured 19 Australian fashion designers; the first half focused on sportswear so a ballerina pink (Orly Angel Face) seemed like the natural choice. Since the second half of the show was centered on evening wear, Wall and her team quickly added a gold glitter gradient accent using Orly Too Fab to each of the 30 models’ pink manicures. This trick is perf for life off the runway, too – start with a blush shade or elephant grey and add a little metallic sparkle on top when the weekend hits to hide chips or add extra flair.
