NYFW Nails Fall 2016: MAC at Delpozo

A thin white line that begins at the free edge and ends well below the cuticle on the skin—the Delpozo nail look may not be your typical design, but MAC Lead Manicurist Keri Blair is ready to make you a believer. “It’s really interesting—it’s a little more outside the box to elongate the stripe,” she says, noting that maybe you won’t wear this for everyday … but maybe you will. How did the design come about? “Well, the collection is inspired by the sci-fi movie Metropolis and the coldness and robotic, metallic [color] palettes of digital artist Daria Petrilli,” she says backstage. “The clothes are such a standout that this nail is a great complement.” And certainly, spying the thin lines backstage, each with a width that is singular to its wearer, the effect of extending the white onto the skin has an elegance to it.
