The Falguni & Shane Peacock show did not disappoint those who hoped to see their edgy, couture designs and futuristic yet feminine pieces for which they’ve become known.
The hair, nails and makeup were all designed to complement and show off the intricate clothing that had feathers and beading to metallic bodices and mesh.
Head makeup artist Kelly Thompson and team, using Kryolan, gave the models a sharp black, glossy eye. They used three different shades of foundation to contour and perfect the face. The finishing touch was a soft lip, achieved with Kryolan Lip Care Balsam.
Head hair stylist Matthew Curtis and his team, using Tresemme products, created a neat chignon, with blades along the sides.
Celebrity manicurist Lisa Logan (think Beyoncé!), worked with the designer duo on a simple, yet trendy look using Julie G for Jesse’s Girl Cosmetics nail polish in Black Sheep and Liquid Metal.
For the totally DIY-friendly nails, Logan first applied JulieG nail polish in Black Sheep to a natural nail, followed by a thin mid-nail pinstripe in Liquid Metal to complete the look.
“We wanted a black nail; trendy, but fun and chic,” Logan said. The team chose square-shaped nails for the design.
Lisa told us how to make this our mani in three steps:
- With a base coat on, apply two coats of the JulieG shade in Black Sheep
· Let the color set for two minutes, then with a skinny brush, take the JulieG for shade in Liquid Metal and roll onto the middle of the nail.
· Let the nail dry for one to two minutes, then apply the top coat.
