By Elma

The holiday season is officially here and that means it’s time to dress up nails for holiday parties! Atima from nemosnails.com shares her tips for creating a colorful holiday glitter gradient!

  • Polishes Used:

    Hema no.850
    BarryM Aqua Glitter
    BarryM Magenta Glitter
    L'oreal Sequin Explosion.

    SLIDE 1 OF 6
  • Step 1

Apply your base color and let it dry for about 15 minutes. It's important to give it drying time.  If the base is still wet, the glitter will just pull it off.

    SLIDE 2 OF 6
  • Step 2

Apply your first small hex glitter polish to the tips of your nails, making sure you don't have too much on the brush pull the glitter backwards towards the cuticle giving a gradient effect.

    SLIDE 3 OF 6
  • Step 3

Take your second small hex glitter polish and repeat step 3. You don't have to use a second glitter polish but it helps to add depth to the gradient.

    SLIDE 4 OF 6
  • Step 4

Take your larger hex glitter polish and again apply to the tips. If you find there are areas you would like to have more glitter on you can place individual hex pieces from the polish on the nail with a orange stick or dotting tool. (Tip: Take hex pieces from the neck of the polish bottle.)

    SLIDE 5 OF 6
  • Step 5

Add a clear top coat. This helps give a smoother finish.
