  • Products and Tools:

    -Head Mistress by Essie
    -Blanc by Essie
    -Liquid vinyl by ORLY
    -Seche Vite topcoat
    -red striping tape
    -small dotting tool
    -small/cuticle scissors

    SLIDE 1 OF 7
  • Step 1:

Paint middle and ring finger with your red polish. Paint pinky and pointer finger with a white polish. Before moving on to the next step, make sure the polish is COMPLETELY dry. This is important since we're working with striping tape.

  • Step 2:

Cut 8 pieces of striping tape and section them evenly on your fingers.

  • Step 3:

Take your black polish and start filling in your sections creating your stripes. You can use a nail striper or nail brush for this step if it's easier for you. To create clean lines, remove the tape almost immediately after you paint the section. If you allow the polish to dry, removing the tape might become messy.

  • Step 4:

Once you remove all the tape, clean up the sides with some acetone if needed. Then cut 2 little strips of your red striping tape and add them in between your two black stripes. Make sure the red strip is not hanging past the width of your nail. It's better to make it a tad bit shorter than your nail, so you can seal it in with topcoat and not worry about to striping tape lifting off later.

  • Step 5:

For the leopard, you're going to use the smallest side of your dotting tool and make tiny c-shapes, starting near the cuticle and working your way up to the top of your nail.

  • Step 6:

Last step: top coat! It'll help smoothen everything out and give a nice glossy finish. Just be sure to be cautious when adding top coat to your striped nails so your clean lines don't smear!
