If your style icons include Rita Hayworth or Dita Von Teese, or you just have an appreciation for a classic, clean style, you must try out these tips from Nailjob. Using just black and white paints, the blogger designed a polished look that is simple to create, but looks elegant for parties or dates. Click through for the tutorial.

  • Supplies needed:

    SLIDE 1 OF 9
  • Step 1:

Apply your basecoat, let it dry and then apply two coats of the burgundy colored polish.

    SLIDE 2 OF 9
  • Step 2:

Take the white polish and paint on “clouds." You can do two coats of the white, depending of the opacity of the white that you use.

    SLIDE 3 OF 9
  • Step 3:

Using the thin brush, create circles in the corner of each cloud. These will be the center of the rosebud, so place them on your canvas accordingly.

    SLIDE 4 OF 9
  • Step 4:

Start painting petals on the center circle.

    SLIDE 5 OF 9
  • Step 5:

Continue painting the petals. It looks better if the petals don’t look too uniform.

    SLIDE 6 OF 9
  • Step 6:

    More petals!

    SLIDE 7 OF 9
  • Step 7:

Once you are done with the petals, outline the cloud shape with the black acrylic paint.

    SLIDE 8 OF 9
  • Step 8:

Finish off with a top coat.
