For a simple but sparkly nails, turn to Jessie‘s teal chevron stripes, which are made more dramatic by the foil-like OPI Crown Me Already! You might have seen these in our collection of Fun French Manicures, but now we get to go behind the scenes and see how she masterfully performs each step. Without a white base coat, these are perfect for a post-Labor Day mani.

  • SUPPLIES NEEDED

OPI Original Nail Envy Nail Strengthener
    China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint
    China Glaze Aquadelic
    OPI Crown Me Already
Sally Hansen Dries Instantly Top Coat
    Tape
    Scissors

    SLIDE 1 OF 6
  • STEP 1

Paint your nails with a base coat. Here, we went clear. Wait for this to dry and harden completely.

    SLIDE 2 OF 6
  • STEP 2

Cut your tape into squares or rectangles. Place one piece of tape onto each nail, creating a chevron V-shape.

    SLIDE 3 OF 6
  • STEP 3

Paint one nail at a time and remove each piece of tape immediately. This ensures smoother lines after tape removal. When dry, add a quick-drying top coat.

    SLIDE 4 OF 6
  • STEP 4

When your polish is completely dried and hardened, place one piece of the squared tape further down on your nail. Below this piece, place two more pieces of tape crisscrossed to form a chevron V-shape. Repeat Step 3. To create the optional accent nail, repeat Step 4 twice over a glitter polish.

    SLIDE 5 OF 6
  • STEP 5

After all the polish is dry and hardened, add your top coat and you're done! Jessie even painted a matching cabochon ring for fun!
