Step 1: Begin by applying your base coat. This step really helps with the longevity of your manicure.

Step 2: Take your gray polish (or whatever color you want your cat to be) and brush a semicircle on your nail. It doesn't have to be perfect but try to avoid stray lines.

Step 3: Take the very thin brush and use that to apply the gray polish in the shape of two triangles on either side of the semicircle. These are the ears of your cat.

Step 4: Take the thin brush and paint on two dots for the eyes and a small triangle in between the eyes for the nose.

Step 5: Now, very carefully, paint the mouth and the whiskers. Try to keep these lines relatively thin as they will define the cat's features and add to the overall neatness of the design.

Step 6: Then, use the thin brush to paint on small triangles inside the ears with your pink polish. Add top coat and then you are done! Cats come in a variety of breeds and distinct personalities so the possibilities are endless in terms of color choices and facial expressions.
