    SLIDE 1 OF 14
  • TOOLS

    Supplies Used:

    Acrylic paint
    Dotting tools
    Small paint brush
Q-tips and remover for clean up
    OPI Nail Envy strengthener
    China Glaze White on White
    OPI DS Luxurious
    ULTA Chocolate Kiss
    Seche Vite top coat

    SLIDE 2 OF 14
  • STEP 1

Always start out with a strengthener as a top coat. I always use OPI Nail Envy.

    SLIDE 3 OF 14
  • STEP 2

Paint your accent finger white. She used China Glaze White on White. Paint all your other fingers a pretty fall color of your choice, like the red OPI Designer Series Luxurious.

  • STEP 3

With acrylic paint and a small paint brush, draw a half circle pointing away from your nail bed and two half ovals on either side.

    SLIDE 5 OF 14
  • STEP 4

Fill in areas with the brown acrylic paint. You should end up with a circle at the top of your nail. Look like an owl head yet?

    SLIDE 6 OF 14
  • STEP 5

Using the same brown paint, make a couple of "v"s to represent feathers on the owls chest.

    SLIDE 7 OF 14
  • STEP 6

Use your dotting tool to make two huge yellow circles for the owl's eyes.

    SLIDE 8 OF 14
  • STEP 7

Use a smaller dotting tool to make black circles inside of the yellow ones you just made. If you mess up you can always go back and fix it with more paint.

    SLIDE 9 OF 14
  • STEP 8

Now with a super small dotting tool make small dots inside the black ones you just made. It's starting to look like something now!

    SLIDE 10 OF 14
  • STEP 9

Use your paintbrush and orange acrylic paint to draw an upside down triangle for your owl's nose and two small half circles at the tip of your nail to represent your owl's feet.

    SLIDE 11 OF 14
  • STEP 10

To make the polka dots, use a medium sized dotting tool with a brown like ULTA Chocolate Kiss. Make a line of dots down the center of your nail.

    SLIDE 12 OF 14
  • STEP 11

Now use that same dotting tool and polish and try to alternate the dots.

    SLIDE 13 OF 14
  • STEP 12

Use your Q-tips and polish remover to clean up around your cuticles. Finally add your favorite top coat. She used Seche Vite fast dry top coat. Now you're all set to head out and show off your fall themed nails!
