If you’re into the glam of gold and prints, try out this manicure by Yezenia. We’re all for mixed up designs and the use of 3D charms and accessories for nails, and this set has both! Thin gold chain is a useful addition to your nail art collection. You can find small packs of it in the jewelry making aisle at your local craft store. But for now, click through to see the step-by-step process to creating these spots and stripes!

Supplies Needed:

  • STEP 1

Apply base coat to protect your nails. This one is Beauty Secrets from Sally's Beauty Supply.

    SLIDE 1 OF 7
  • STEP 2

Paint your index and ring finger white and the rest of your nails navy blue.

    SLIDE 2 OF 7
  • STEP 3

Apply matte top coat to all blue color nails, before drying apply studs in diamond shape. Apply a second coat of matte top coat onto nails, just placing the brush around the studs not on top.

    SLIDE 3 OF 7
  • STEP 4

On the white color nails, using striping tape, or clear tape, create a cross shape on the ring finger. On index finger, do a diagonal line.

    SLIDE 4 OF 7
  • STEP 5

Gather up either black acrylic paint or black polish and a nail art tool. Using the nail art tool, create a cheetah pattern on the white of the index finger. Do the same on the top square of the ring finger and diagonally below it, do zebra stripes.

    SLIDE 5 OF 7
  • STEP 6

Apply top coat on index and ring finger nails, like INM Out The Door. Apply to the index finger first and place a piece of gold color chain across nail as shown. Apply top coat to index finger nail and apply glitter dots to create square boxes. Reapply top coat to secure.

    SLIDE 6 OF 7
  • STEP 7

Clean excess nail polish using a flat brush, like an eye make up brush, Q-tip, or even an orange stick placed in acetone. After clean up, use cuticle oil, baby oil, or any hand lotion to keep your hands and fingers looking stunning since acetone can leave the skin very dry. You are done!
