If you are looking for a design to get your nails noticed, try out this Etro inspired nail art created by Chelsea King from Get Nailed.

Etro019-1

The first thing Chelsea thought when she saw this dress was, “Wow I need this in my wardrobe!” Chelsea loved incorporating a gradient into the design and notes that it is a fairly simple technique to use. She adds, “The design’s colors can be changed to match whatever outfit you’re wearing.”

Choose the colors to match your outfit of choice or recreate this eye-catching black to yellow gradient. Here are the steps to get you started.

  • STEP 1

Paint nails with a yellow polish and let dry (Nubar Resort Yellow)

  • STEP 2

Using your preferred method, create a black to yellow gradient on the nails. To do this, you can get a makeup sponge to blend the colors together. (Cult Nails Nevermore)

    SLIDE 2 OF 5
  • STEP 3

Use a dotting tool or a toothpick to create small yellow dots over the black portion.

    SLIDE 3 OF 5
  • STEP 4

Grab a nail art brush and paint lines (similar to zebra stripes) coming off the bottom of the nail.
