  • INTRODUCTION

If you're the sort of gal who prefers to show her enthusiasm in a subtle, understated way, try out this chic Halloween-colored manicure by Nailjob's Fariha Ali. See the tutorial and what polishes she used (we're lovin' that nude shade!)

    SLIDE 1 OF 8
  • TOOLS

    Supplies Needed:

    Orly Bonder (base coat)
    Julep Florence (nude)
    Julep Marjorie (orange)
    Julep Cleopatra (black)
Essie Matte About You (matte top coat)
    Thin Brush

    SLIDE 2 OF 8
  • STEP 1

Apply your basecoat, let it dry, and then apply two coats of nude polish.

    SLIDE 3 OF 8
  • STEP 2

Dip the thin brush into the orange polish and create outlines of two semi-circles at the top and bottom of your nail. They don’t have to be perfect outlines as you will be filling them in.

    SLIDE 4 OF 8
  • STEP 3

Fill in the outlines with orange polish.

    SLIDE 5 OF 8
  • STEP 4

Take the black polish and apply it to the free edge of the nail. Try to maintain a straight line where the black meets the orange.

    SLIDE 6 OF 8
  • STEP 5

Now take the thin brush and create a straight black line across your nail on the orange section right above the cuticle area. If you are having a hard time making a straight line, don’t worry; you can cover up the imperfections with some of the orange polish.

    SLIDE 7 OF 8
  • STEP 6

Apply a layer of matte topcoat. Done!
