Anastasia Fete is the maker behind the widely popular indie, Lac Attack! Learn more about her line by reading our Q&A with her below!
Nail It!: How long have you been making your own polish?
Anastasia: 2 years! Lac Attack was born in January 2012 and my first collection launched in March of that year. I’ll be hosting a contest soon to celebrate – stay tuned!
How did you begin creating your own polishes?
I began lusting after some very hard-to-find indie polishes in late 2011 (there weren’t many “indies” at that time), and decided to make my own versions of the polishes I wanted. After receiving some positive feedback from friends and family, I decided to sell my creations.
What makes your line of lacquers unique?
I try to be different, to use unique color combinations and themes in every collection.
What is your best seller right now?
My current bestseller is Padfoot, the Sirius Black-inspired polish from the newly released Magical Mischief collection.
What is your favorite polish you’ve ever created?
I still love Jewel of the Nile – she’s so pretty! Jewel was my first-ever matte glitter creation and I still wear her all the time.
Other than your own, what’s your favorite brand of polish to use?
It’s a close one, but definitely China Glaze. I love their unusual colors and their crème formulas, plus they were one of the first brands I fell in love with when I became “polish addicted”!
Any spoilers you’d like to share about your future collections?
I’m definitely planning to increase the number of collections I launch this year. I’m currently working on 3 collections! One is for a charity event, one is a special effects topcoat collection (I am so excited for this one), and the other is my spring line. I’m also planning more contests to have fans design colors and themes!
