Millions habitually bite their nails – and it can have some serious ramifications. Over-biting can leave your nails chomped, ragged, and bloodied, but there’s a few ways you can put an end to the classic bad habit right now:

2. Get your nails done. Whether you go the DIY route, or would rather leave it up to the professional, get your nails done well. Having gorgeous nails (especially ones you spent time and money on) will motivate you to keep them looking nice and not looking gnawed.
3. Behavioral conditioning works, and not just for lab rats. Get an elastic hair tie and secure it around your wrist. Next time you get the urge to bite, snap it against your wrist.
