Stamping Polishes and Plates Used In “Secrets to Stamping”

04.23.15

By semick

When we knew we were going to do a guide to nail stamping in the May/June 2015 issue, the first local artist who came to mind was Melissa Fisk (known better online as @lissamel9 or Nailrotica).

When Fisk arrived to our photo studio, she had her entire stamping arsenal with her: tried-and-true polishes, plates, stampers, scrapers, and a massive collection of studs and charms. She knew which colors layered well and which were prime for stamping – and we list all those that she used here.

You can read the full story,“Secrets to Stamping,” starting on page 46 of our May/June issue (if you can’t find a paper copy, you can subscribe to our digital edition here). We go through the step-by-step method for each stamping effect, show you the best stampers, plates, and polishes to use, and give you our very best tips for the job.

Fisk’s stamper for the day was the Pueen Stamper and Scraper Set. See other top stampers and when to use them on page 49.
