Nail Art Tutorial: Woven Manicure

  • Products needed:

    • OPI Alpine Snow
    • OPI Pamplona Purple
    • Tweezers
    • Plastic sheet/ Sandwich bag
    • Ruler
    • Tape
    • Orangewood stick or cuticle pusher
    SLIDE 1 OF 13
  • Step 1:

    Apply 2-3 thick coats of nail polish over a plastic sheet. Let it dry overnight.

  • Step 2:

    With the help of a metal file and ruler, create lines on the dried swatch of nail polish.

  • Step 3:

    Cut thin strips 2 mm in width.

  • Step 4:

    Stick one side of stripes on any surface with tape.

  • Step 5:

    Lift first, third, and fifth strips, and insert  vertical  strip to start weaving.

  • Step 6:

    Lift alternate strips and use them to sandwich the vertical piece.

    Continue weaving by lifting alternate strips.

    Continue weaving by lifting alternate strips.

  • Step 8:

    Apply a coat of polish and stick woven applique on the wet polish. Press the applique with the help of orangewood stick or cuticle pusher and set it according to nail size.

  • Step 9:

    Cut the extra from sides. Finished!
