Get wispy ghost tails and flickering Jack o’ lanterns! @Mymaynails created hers in both glossy and matte form by first making decals out of polish and then applying them to nails. If you’d like to try your hand at the look, here’s her step-by-step method:

The Ghosts

You need:
+Black cream polish
+ Sheer white polish
+ Wax paper
+ Dotting tool or toothpick

Step 1: Paint a generous coat of black polish on the wax paper and immediately add a drop of the sheer white. Start dragging the white down with the dotting tool or toothpick to create the ghostly figure.
Step 2: Add two tiny dots of black for the eyes.
Step 3: Let the decal dry for about an hour, then remove it from the wax paper and cut it to match your nails. Work on one nail after the other: add a base coat and let it dry shortly (it still has to be tacky), place the pre-cut decal on the nail and press it down.
Step 4: File away the excess on the tip, clean up, add top coat and you’re done!

Pumpkins

You need:
+ Black cream polish
+ Orange jelly polish
+ Green polish
+ Wax paper
+ Dotting tool or toothpick
+ Small nail art brush

Step 1: Paint a generous coat of black polish on the wax paper and immediately add a drop of the orange. Start dragging the black into the orange with the dotting tool to create the pumpkin figure
Step 2: Let the decals dry for about an hour.
Step 3: With the nail art brush add the stem, eyes, and mouth. Let dry for another 5-10 minutes. Remove the decals from the wax paper and cut them to match the shape of your nails. Work on one nail after the other: add a base coat and let it dry shortly (it still has to be tacky), place the pre-cut decal on the nail and press it down.
Step 4: File away the excess on the tip, clean up, add top coat and you’re done!
