A good chevron stripe nail should be a staple in everyone’s nail art repertoire. Galina (@yagala on Instagram) from Okinawa in Japan showed how she uses nail decals to quickly and easily do those zigzags in bright colors. Click through below to see.

  • You will need:

    • Silver polish as a base color. I use Sally Hansen Celeb City
    • Bright neon polishes. I use China Glaze Too Yacht Too Handle (green), Flip Flop Fantasy (pink); Zoya Charisma (purple)
    • Nail vinyls (These are from Instagram’s @teismom)
    • Tweezers
    • Seche Vite top coat
    SLIDE 1 OF 10
  • Step 1:

Start by painting your nails with a silver polish.

    SLIDE 2 OF 10
  • Step 2:

Once the base color is completely dry, use your tweezers to place nail vinyls.

    SLIDE 3 OF 10
  • Step 3:

Place 2 or 3 nail vinyls, depending on length of your nails.

    SLIDE 4 OF 10
  • Step 4:

Apply the first color in the first segment starting from the cuticle.

    SLIDE 5 OF 10
  • Step 5:

Apply the second color between the next two nail vinyls.

    SLIDE 6 OF 10
  • Step 6:

Use the tweezers to gently remove the first nail vinyl.

    SLIDE 7 OF 10
  • Step 7:

Apply the final color on the tip of your nails.

    SLIDE 8 OF 10
  • Step 8:

Using the tweezers, carefully remove the last nail vinyl.

    SLIDE 9 OF 10
  • Step 9:

Apply fast-drying top coat and that's it!!!
