If you’re about to give yourself a new polish job and don’t have the time (or energy, or inspiration, or teeny tiny brush) to do crazy elaborate nail art – color blocking is the answer. With this design, you don’t have to be an adult and settle on one solid, conservative shade for the color scheme of your manicure. Pick two or five or ten of your favorite bright polishes, add some black, and still look chic. Here’s how:

  • First...

    You'll need these from SinfulColors:

    • Base Coat
    • Black on Black
    • Why Not
    • Let’s Meet
    • Tempest
    • Folly
    • Top Shine
  • Step 1:

Apply Base Coat. Apply 2 coats of Black On Black diagonally to half of the nail. Allow to dry.

  • Step 2:

Apply 2 coats of a shade of your choice to the other half of the nail. Allow to dry.

  • Step 3:

Repeat step 3 on all nails using different shades. Allow to dry. Finish with 1 coat of Top Shine.
