Nail Art Tutorial: Ruffian Spring Floral

  • List of Products Used:

    • Julep Nail Polish Winter
    • Polish Addict Nail Color Jellyfish II
    • LaCross Nail Scissors
    • Nail Decals purchased from Born Pretty Store
    • Square Gold Studs purchased from Born Pretty Store
    • Tweezers purchased from Born Pretty Store
    • Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat
    • Nail Art Brush purchased from Born Pretty Store
    • Pure Acetone purchased from Skyline Beauty Supply
    • Water
    • OPI nail glue
    • Orly Instant Artist Water Based Paint Grape
    SLIDE 1 OF 9
  • Step 1:

    Paint one coat of Winter, let dry and then paint two coats of Jellyfish II, let dry completely.

  • Step 2:

    Cut a decal the size of your nail, peel off the plastic overcoat and place in water for about 30 seconds.

  • Step 3:

    Pull out of the water with tweezers, and carefully slide the decal from the paper with your thumb. Use tweezers to pick up the decal from the paper.

  • Step 4:

    Carefully position the decal on your nail in the area you want it; press down.

  • Step 5:

    Dip your brush in acetone and carefully use it to remove the excess decal around the nail.

  • Step 6:

    Using Grape, paint the ruffian line around the outside of the nail and allow to dry completely.

  • Step 7:

    Place a tiny dot of nail glue on the bottom of the nail and using tweezers, place a stud on top of the glue.

  • Step 8:

    Finish off the nail with a top coat of Seche Vite and allow to dry.
