Between September and the holidays is prime pumpkin season: pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin bread, pumpkin pancakes – and now, pumpkin pie nails. Oh yes. We knew you’d be excited. Here’s how blogger and nail artist Ka Yee Or (@ka_yee_or) did ‘em:

  • Supplies needed

    • Essie Protein Base Coat
    • Revlon Totally Toffee
    • Assorted artist acrylic paint in various brands that I mixed to produce the desired colors
    • Size 0 fine paint brush
    • China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat
    SLIDE 1 OF 8
  • STEP 1

Prepare your nail with base coat. Apply two coats of the base color.

    SLIDE 2 OF 8
  • Step 2

Paint a slightly off-center triangle with a milk chocolate brown color.

    SLIDE 3 OF 8
  • STEP 3

Add an orange brown rectangle under the triangle.

    SLIDE 4 OF 8
  • STEP 4

Outline the bottom and left side of the pie with a beige color. This serves as the pie crust.

    SLIDE 5 OF 8
  • Step 5

Add a dollop of whipped cream using white paint.

    SLIDE 6 OF 8
  • Step 6

Now add a plate by painting halfway around the piece of pie using a light grey color.

    SLIDE 7 OF 8
  • Step 7

Create depth by using shading and add details with. Add top coat and you are done! Now go have some real pie to match.
