How to Use Liquid Latex to Make Nail Art Cleanup Easier

If you haven’t noticed on Instagram lately, bloggers are all head-over-heels for this new trick: adding liquid latex around their cuticles that’s easy to peel off later – making cleanup a breeze for messy manicures.

To help you out, Jennifer Collins (@lacqueredmama) shows how it’s done. She used Proclaim Super Bond Dark Hair Glue, which (if you look at the ingredient list) is a liquid hair product (for applying extensions) that primarily contains latex, and is often readily available in your local beauty supply store. You can also search for liquid latex on Amazon.

liquid_latex_nailsStep 1: Apply your base coat and/or your base color. It helps to pour a little liquid latex into an empty polish bottle with brush. Brush the liquid latex around the cuticle of your nail. Let dry (it will take around two minutes). Jennifer used Vapid Lacquer Catch Me If You Can here.liquid_latex_stamping_nails_paintinStep 2: Add your “messy” nail art as normal. Jennifer stamped with Mundo de Unas (white polish) using UberChic Beauty plate 1-03.
